I am Purak Jain, an applied science manager at AWS based in Seattle.
I started my career as a software engineer, moved into applied science, and now lead a distributed team of senior scientists. Along the way, I have come to believe that most hard problems are fundamentally incentive design problems — whether you are shaping a loss function, an API contract, or an org structure. Getting that right is what makes products get built, research get discovered, and teams stay aligned.
